A six week series created for the reception classes of St Michael's C of E School, Enfield.

Over the course of the series the children built a class garden illustrating songs learnt and animals featured in the Carnival of the animals by Saint Saens.

Songs and rhymes were based on the Kodaly pedagogy (focussing on high and low pitch (largely so-mi), steady beat as well as musical games) and the Carnival of the Animals movements were performed live on the violin.  After each performance we watched the original movement performed and explored the instruments used.
